Categories of the race
In 2026, races were held in the Alpine Performance, Regularity (Classic & Sport
Trophy) and Competition (Formula & Standard) categories. New this year was the pre-war field.
Categories 2026 overview
In this category, there are no licensing requirements for entry and therefore no timekeeping. Exception: The cars must be classic cars, as specified in the notice of race.
In this category, participants compete in the regularity (i.e. consistency) event. Out of a total of four runs, the two with the smallest time difference are counted towards the result. The maximum average speed is 80 km/h. Co-drivers are also permitted in this category. For requirements regarding cars and drivers, please see the ‘Licensing’ information sheet for details.

New for the Arosa ClassicCar 2026 is the Pre-war Field.
All participants with a pre-war vehicle – regardless of their registered class – will start together at the rear of Race Field 3. The categories are allocated according to the start number:
- 600s: Arosa Sport Trophy
- 700s: Alpine Performance
- 800s: Arosa Classic Trophy
